About CYBC Racing

You selected: I am completely new to the sport and want to try.

First off, welcome! We hope you learn to love the sport like we do. To achieve our goal of introducing new sailors to sailing, we aim to provide various opportunities for you to get on the water.

Crew Memberships are required once you have raced 4 times in the current season. Membership costs are very reasonable; $40/year or $20/year for racers under 18 years of age or full-time students.

To enter your boat in the CBYC Thursday evening series you must be a member of CBYC

1) Review our Racing Schedule to determine what days work for you.

2) Visit the Crew Bank to contact a boat owner who needs crew - or sign up as "potential crew".

3) Read through our Racing Resources to find out what to bring, how to dress, and some important things you need to know before stepping on a sailboat.
